A little information about my own jeep:
When I was 17 years old, I bought my own jeep after many years of wanting one. The jeep I purchased is a 1946 Willys Jeep, CJ-2A. It had sat under a car port for about 5 years before I salvaged it. Although it ran when I bought it, it was in major disrepair. I did not actually pay money for my jeep, instead I ended up trading the guy four guns for it. The jeep was a rust color primer when I bought it, so I sanded the body down and put on a custom camouflage paint job. Next, I pulled the transmission and replaced a few parts. After the transmission was done, I rebuilt the engine. The engine is not the original flat head 4 cylinder, it is a 289 V8 out of a 1962 Ford Mustang that was put in the jeep in the early 1980's so it was competitive when the previous own took it ice racing. For the last couple of years I have just been putting the finishing touches on it; new tires and wheels, off-road lights, grill guard, and a stereo. All in all, the repairs were easy and I ended up with an awesome looking jeep.
