My objective as a pharmacy intern is to apply my knowledge base from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in real life situations. I also hope to extend my knowledge of the proper use of pharmaceuticals. I also believe this experience will aid in my career development, As a result of my rotation experience, I will increase my ability to serve the community as a licensed pharmacist.

My duties as computer lab teaching assistant were
to assist students in the use of various software programs, such as WordPerfect
and WordPerfect Presentations. My duties included making sure computer
components were working, including printers and system components. I also
aided instructors in classroom activities, actively showing students how
to use the computer for various tasks.

My chief duty as a pharmacy intern at St. Louis
University Hospital was to type pharmacy orders and fill daily unit dose
orders. Other duties were to round floors hourly, replace drug stock as
needed, refill Pyxis machines, and answer phones.

I have been with Walgreens for over three years. It has been very educational. I have learned a great deal about how to interact with customers about various drug issues and concerns. Also, I have become very proficient in my duties of filling prescriptions, putting orders away, answering phones, receiving new phoned prescriptions, and recommending OTC products to patients.

While not studying, I enjoy many recreational
pursuits. I enjoy attending performances at the Fox, as well as playing
computer games, surfing the internet, reading, and crafts. My favorite
places to go for fun are a bookstore, out to eat, or strolling a mall.
